About these terms

These terms apply to all services provided by Verity Consultants (“we”, “us”). By requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to them.

Our services

We provide editing, proofreading, feedback, tutoring and consulting services for students, and research and writing services for businesses and institutions. The exact scope of each project is set out in your quote.

Academic integrity and your responsibilities

Our student services are provided only on work you have written yourself. We do not write essays, assignments, dissertations or theses for submission, in whole or in part. You confirm that any work you send us is your own, and you are responsible for following the rules of your institution, including any limits on third party editing. We may decline or cancel any request that we believe breaches our Academic Integrity Policy.

Quotes and orders

Quotes are free and are based on the information and documents you provide. An order is confirmed when you accept the quote and we confirm that we can meet the agreed delivery date. If the scope changes, we will send a revised quote before continuing.

Payment

Payment terms and accepted payment methods are stated in your quote.

Delivery

We agree a delivery date with you before work begins. We will tell you promptly if anything is likely to affect it. Delays caused by late or incomplete material from you may change the delivery date.

Revisions and refunds

Revisions are covered by our Revision Policy and refunds by our Refund Policy. Both form part of these terms.

Confidentiality

We treat your documents and project details as confidential and share them only with the specialist assigned to your project. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Intellectual property

Students keep all rights in their own work, including any edits they accept. For business research and writing, rights in the final deliverables pass to you once payment is received in full.

No guarantee of outcomes

We work to a professional standard, but we cannot guarantee any particular grade, examination result, journal acceptance, funding decision or commercial outcome. Those decisions are made by others.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
