Where we draw the line, and why.

Our position
Verity Consultants exists to help students produce their best work, and that work must be their own. We do not write essays, assignments, dissertations or theses for students to submit, in whole or in part.
What we do
- Edit and proofread work you have written
- Give feedback on your draft and suggest how to improve it
- Check formatting and referencing against your guidelines
- Tutor and coach you in research and writing skills
- Advise on methodology and help you understand your analysis
What we do not do
- Write or rewrite content for you to submit as your own
- Complete assignments, coursework or exams on your behalf
- Paraphrase text to avoid similarity or AI detection
- Fabricate data, results or references
What we ask of you
Send us your own draft, and tell us about any limits your institution places on third party help. Many universities allow proofreading and editing, and some ask you to acknowledge it. Please check your handbook, and we will work within its rules.
Requests we decline
If a request falls outside this policy, we will explain why and, where we can, suggest a form of support that is permitted, such as tutoring or feedback.
Business and professional clients
This policy applies to work that will be assessed for an academic qualification. Research and writing for businesses and institutions is a separate service and is not submitted for academic credit.
